To start: This 2014 Nismo RS ONLY HAS 12K MILE ON IT!
IT IS THE NICEST JUKE WE HAVE EVER WORKED ON.
Oh Robert. For years we have been trying to get this gentleman to come to the dark side and swap out his Mamba 19t turbo for a real turbo. Finally, we GOT HIM TO! We had a used 16G turbo kit here (another customer upgraded to something MUCH bigger), and practically gave it to him.
We first put the car on the dyno to get base numbers. On the Mamba 19T Tuned by someone other than us, the car made 267.8 WHP and 244.5 FT LBS of torque (Peak at 3300 rpm, 200 ft lbs at redline) AT 24 PSI!!!
We then set to work swapping the turbo. Even with making a new intake adapter and cross over pipe, we had the car up and running in about 5 hours on the new turbo. Then to tuning. We spent the first hour of tuning getting the fuel and cam phasing just right at 16psi, so he would have a perfect drive around tune. Then it was time for the power. We had the final tune done in just 17 pulls, including his low power map. at only 21PSI we picked up heaps of mid-range and top-end power, with only 1000 rpm more of turbo lag.
