Nearly every time we have to remove a timing chain guide the heads of the OEM bolts strip.
This is from the use of a mild steel fastener on an aluminum thread that undergoes thousands of heat cycles. They just get stuck.
Not anymore. These stainless steel bolts use a larger hex for a better grip over the OEM bolts and are less likely to get stuck when you need to remove them.
Over-all bolt length is shorter, but the thread length is exactly the same.
