The oem shift linkage bushings are prone to cracking and breaking over time, especially when removed.
These 85A polyurethane bushings replace the oem's with an easier to live with design. When installed properly, these bushings are easier to pop on and off than the factory ones, and are a tighter fit along the pivoting axis than the factory ones.
Due to the tighter fit, going into gear has a lot more satisfying feel to it.
These are not intended to fix any slop in the shifter assembly. That slop is strictly in the shift, not the linkages.
Each order comes with white lithium grease. This is to be applied sparingly to the outside face of the pivot ball.
